Village of Weedsport Notice of Tax Collection
Take Notice: That I, the undersigned Collector of the Village of Weedsport have received the tax roll and warrant for the collection of taxes for the fiscal 2026-2027 year.
Collection of the above taxes will be at the Village Office, 8892 South St., Weedsport NY during regular business hours March 1, 2026 thru April 1, 2026, without penalty. Taxes may be paid online at: weedsport.gov and click TAX GLANCE.
On April 2, 2026 a 5% penalty will be added. Each month thereafter, 1% per month will be added to the bill until October 16, 2026. At that time, all unpaid taxes will be turned over to the Cayuga County Treasurer for collection and enforcement.

An employee in this class is also required to perform recurring manual duties related to the operation of the equipment. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: One year of experience in the operation of some type of automotive equipment.

COMPENSATION: $21.00-$23.00/hr.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The Village of Weedsport will be hosting a public information meeting for the upcoming Weedsport Water System Improvements Project on June 25 th , 2026 at 6:30pm. The meeting will be located at the Weedsport Village Office located at 8892 South Street, Weedsport, NY 13166. A brief project description is below:
Amid many years of water main breaks and deterioration of the water distribution system, the Village of Weedsport Board has decided to move forward with the Weedsport Water System Improvements Project.
The Village of Weedsport Water System Improvements Project consists of three contracts of construction. Contract 1 includes the installation of approximately 43,000 linear feet of water main, including necessary appurtenances, valves and fire hydrants.
Contract 2A/B consists of replacement of piping, valves and meter, interior and exterior architectural improvements in the existing Metering Building; a new tank site bypass vault with meter and PRV; a new chlorine injection vault with meter; a new prefabricated Rechlorination Building with chemical feed equipment; the installation of new mixing and disinfection byproduct treatment system and safety equipment for the existing above-ground concrete storage tank; the installation of power supply, wiring and panels associated with equipment. Contract 3A/B includes the procurement and installation of approximately 732 water meters.
The project is proposed to beginning construction in late Summer 2026.
