Village of Weedsport Notice of Tax Collection

Take Notice:  That I, the undersigned Collector of the Village of Weedsport have received the tax roll and warrant for the collection of taxes for the fiscal 2026-2027 year.

Collection of the above taxes will be at the Village Office, 8892 South St., Weedsport NY during regular business hours March 1, 2026 thru April 1, 2026, without penalty. Taxes may be paid online at: weedsport.gov and click TAX GLANCE.

On April 2, 2026 a 5% penalty will be added.  Each month thereafter, 1% per month will be added to the bill until October 16, 2026.  At that time, all unpaid taxes will be turned over to the Cayuga County Treasurer for collection and enforcement.

Motor Equipment Operator (FT)

JOB DESCRIPTION: Work involves responsibility for the safe and efficient operation and care of moderately complex motor equipment in the performance of assigned tasks. An employee in this class is also required to perform recurring manual duties related to the operation of the equipment. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: One year of experience in the operation of some type of automotive equipment.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR ACCEPTANCE OF APPLICATIONS: Eligibility for an appropriate level New York State Driver’s License at the time of application. Possession of license at time of appointment.

COMPENSATION: $21.00-$23.00/hr.
